This is a study on several scriptures that cause confusion for the new covenant believer by seeming to mix old covenant ideas with new covenant realities. Do you have to forgive others before God will forgive you? What did Jesus mean by Matthew 6:14-15? Nowhere does it say to repent of your "sins" in the new covenant. Is repentance more about changing your mind about Jesus and the Kingdom of God? 2 Corinthians 5 - God is not imputing the world's sins against them. Acts 3:19 - He will convict you of righteousness. Confess means to agree with. What did John mean in 1John 1:9 and who was he talking to? Who were the gnostics and what did they believe that was influencing the early church? Instead of making big of sin as the world does, let us make a big deal out of what Jesus did for us.
