If you are a child of God, you are an heir. You inherit the Kingdom of God. If you are in the flesh, you are foregoing your inheritance. If you are trying to live a good life in your own power, you are foregoing your own inheritance, which is LIFE, peace, flow, ease, essentially simply bearing the fruit of the Spirit. The manifestations of living out of flesh appear in Galatians 5:19-21. Preaching against these things actually empowers them. The manifestations of the Spirit appear in Galatians 5:22-24. Against these things there is no law. Flesh is against Spirit - they are two diametrically opposing ways of living. The flesh trusts in self. The Spirit trusts in Jesus and the sacrifice He has made. It is the difference between trying to operate righteousness according to a command (which never empowers - it is YOU doing it) and operating in righteousness by faith in Christ where the life you live, you live by the Son of God.
