The old paradigm of being on the Potter's wheel, being broken and molded into something better is not accurate for the new creation. If we are crucified with Christ, the old man is dead, not being made into something better. Now are we the Sons of God. As He is so are we in the world. It's not a process. It's a present reality. We grow in the awareness of it, but we are not being made progressively better. We are already made perfect in Him. We see the truth of this and we walk in it. When we present ourselves as someone still needing improvement, we are presenting ourselves as slaves to sin, rather than slaves of righteousness.
