Hebrews 13:8-17 and John 3:1-21
Under the old system, animal sacrifices were made outside the camp. Jesus was crucified outside the camp. In the book of Hebrews, the writer is encouraging those Hebrews to step outside the camp of their traditions, their synagogues, their law-keeping and bear the disgrace it would bring in exchange for the light of Jesus and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which brings true Life.
Jesus had a brilliant conversation with Nicodemus, a Pharisee (a "separatist" or law-keeper that believed in being separate from the world or anything that would corrupt them). He explained that flesh will only produce flesh. But Spirit or life comes only from the Spirit. As long as Nicodemus continued along the lines of keeping with the traditions of the Pharisees he would only ever produce flesh. He had to come out from that and be born again... experience something so radically different than the system his group centered on... in order to see the Kingdom of God.
Come out of that mindset that you are "not there yet." Come out of the belief that you do not have enough. Come out of the mindset that there is something more that Jesus will do beyond what He has already done. He has done it all. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. There will be no new sacrifice. But you will grow in what you already have by acknowledging all the good things that are in you through Christ. You are acknowledging the all sufficiency of Jesus, not the all sufficiency of yourself.
